Every American should have the chance to buy a politician at least once. The trick is making sure they stay bought.

Too bad we don't get our monies worth!

Yeah - it is hard to keep them bought :)

A better investment is ammo! Lots of it! Stack it deep boys!

Interesting article, but like almost all such articles, totally misses the point regarding the lobbying strength of the NRA and the other pro-RKBA groups. The total amount of money listed in peanuts. It's the membership. NRA's 4 million+ members is what gives them the big stick on Capitol Hill. The other side never admits this, though, because 1) they would have to acknowledge how many committed NRA members there are and 2) it suggests the question, "So, how many members does YOUR organization have?"

I talked with a local Republican political operative here in California who was looking for votes in a U.S. Senate race six years ago. The candidate was less than supportive of the 2nd Amendment. I pointed out that if the NRA had over 4 million members, say 4.35 million, then that equated to about 10,000 per congressional district and that CA has 53 districts. Over a half million voters.

His eyes bugged out.

It's sad that you have to pay politicians money in order to get them to abide by the 2nd Amendment to the constitution. Should be their duty to adhere to the constitutional limitations of their office. We all retain our rights by paying rent to these political hacks.
