New Park rule takes effect tomorrow

Here is one of many, many stories about allowing carry of firearms in national parks and wildlife refuges, where State law allows it,

I caught the MSNBC article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35484383/ns/us_news-life/). 20 paragraphs long, six supporting gun control, only 4 supporting RKBA.

FIRST ATTRIBUTION: Paragraph 7, "Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence"
FIRST QUOTE: Paragraph 8, “'It really is sad that we’ve become such a paranoid society that people want to take guns pretty much everywhere — including national parks,' he [Helmke] said Friday."

I couldn't figure out if the reference to "licensed guns" throughout was supposed to be reassuring to the public, or setting the groundwork for another "loophole" that needs closing.

I guess "any press is good press", but we've got a ways to go to reach parity.

And here we are at the end of the first day, with no reports of blood-stained National Parks.....

In states like Montana (Glacier and part of Yellowstone), Wyoming (Yellowstone) and Virginia (Shenahdoah), and others, this means open carry by all is legal, as well as concealed with a permit)

That open carry situation would so in the Hoosier State as well.
I am trying to imagine walking the Indiana Dunes a few miles east of Gary, while gazing upon the Chicago skyline to the northwest.
With my old .45 in plain view.
Complete mental breakdown. I was BORN in Chicago!
