Antigun group on townhall/tea party meetings

Posted by David Hardy · 11 August 2009 06:18 PM

Josh Horwitz of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence cites the tea party gatherings as "the violent, insurrectionist philosophy that has corrupted the Second Amendment."

"right wing activists have stormed these meetings en masse to shout down speakers "

"The Tea Party "mobs" are not as spontaneous as they might appear."

"On August 6, a town hall meeting in St. Louis was marred by a physical confrontation which resulted in multiple arrests." (As in several thugs attacked a peaceful protestor.)

I find his complaint about insurrectionist understandings a little humorous, since if you look at the Heller ruling, the majority cites individual self defense as the primary reason for the right to arms, while the Stevens dissenters are the ones who say the primary purpose was to give the States military power to match the Feds -- i.e., an insurrectionary approach.

UPDATE: I see Snowflakes in Hell has a post on it, too.

Pretty standard stuff, I guess . . . . a 2-on-1 assault is a "violent incident" caused by the victim, not the attackers.

Noticing also that he didn't bother to mention that the physical confrontation was instigated by a bunch of his and obumbles union-thug buddies

Looks like Obamacare is failing. They have reached the bottom of their bucket here.

Professional provocateurs among the American Left, whether from the gun-control establishment or racial grief mongers, seem desperate lately to gin up a war against Americans. This effort is more than just the knee jerk defenders of Obama who try to slur the opposition of Obama as un-American redneck racism.

For example, I just saw a "news" story where our old buds the SPLC are proclaiming they have a new study showing that violent anti-Obama militia groups are suddenly flourishing. The SPLC even have some clown from the BATF who supposedly aided making their report, to add extra credibility.

Even some people among the Left recognize the SPLC is an old con, mainly designed to vacuum contributions from credulous donors to support the lifestyle of the SPLC leadership, yet the so-called news media continue to regurgitate whatever the SPLC serves up. Ugh.
