When a person has been convicted of attempted murder of police officers, and is at sentencing, after the prosecution recommended a 120 year sentence... it's not good idea to defy and annoy the judge on top of it all.

Why not? Honestly, what did he have to lose at that point? He was already convicted, and it's probable that the judge was going to give him a hefty sentence anyway, if not the prosecutor recommended 120 years.

Hey, if I were going up the river for what amounts to a life sentence, I'd probably get a little snarky too. I mean, it's all you have left, and it won't effect your appeals. What do you have to lose?

Yea he was acting without thinking in the big picture.

What I want to know is how you can shoot at a SWAT team and live. What is the story behind his arrest?

It took a little work but this guy is a punk. Above is why he was arrested.

The guy may be crazy but he knows he won't live long enough to survive any sentence the judge might handout. So why not?

When faced with total disaster, defiance is the only recourse.
