Georgia permit apps nearly doubling

Just a correction (not of Mr. Hardy, but of the AJC, which is always misleading us) that these numbers are not for guns themselves, but instead for what in Georgia is called a "Georgia Firearms License" or GFL. The term is a bit misleading, as a license is not required to purchase any firearm in Georgia.

Instead, the GFL is a "permit" enabling the person who obtains it to carry--openly or concealed--in various locations within Georgia.
