So says this column in the Orlando Sentinel. A good piece of writing.

Hat tip to Dan Gifford...

The criminality of Federal and state officials erodes respect and fear of the law.So few criminals are incarcerated or put to death, that the odds ARE in the criminals favor.Nothing new here, in the early 1900's everyone had to be armed just to survive.Citizens demanded and received ,for a time, inpartial law, effectively deterring crime.Today,in the NAZI state, federal and state officials are viewed with loathing and fear. In many cities police have become "thugs with guns". We are becoming Mexico.

While I approve of the message of the importance of an armed citizenry, I might disagree that it's a good piece of writing in its entirety ... in that some statements are misleading or flatly untrue.

"Violent crime has become part of life's fabric here. Every year there are more guns, more murders."

"We just wrote about a guy captured with cocaine and an assault rifle modified into a machine gun."

There are so many weapons out there that the bad guys actually use "disposable" AK-47s.

Oh, come on.

"The robber died with...a knife in his pocket."

and only one sentance later,

"Every year there are more guns, more murders."

Good writing but several rather odd statements like the two above.

OK...let me get this straight. A felon is arrested wiht a ak coverted to fully auto and is back on the street. where was AFT. it I had a malfuntion at the range a fired two rounds with a single pull of the trigger I would be looking a 10 years. PS I hope I didn't offend anyone by mentioning the work TRIGGER.
