Story here. Fortunately, this happened in Arizona, and not on a National Park.

What a cool kid. Lauer probably has no comprehension whatsoever why the kid would want to go back to "the wild". Also, I'm surprised that the older folks didn't figure that the cat might have rabies by the way it acted, and themselves act accordingly.
