Posted by David Hardy · 7 November 2007 05:19 PM

Story in the London Sun. He finds someone trying to get in a second floor window, when the guy flees he pursues and holds him for police. Police notice the guy has a fat lip ... and arrest the homeowner for assault.

The perp was probably hurt while in police custody and they are trying to pass the blame onto the victim. Sorry, my LEO friends, thats he way I see it.

No, the problem is that the legislature and judiciary in England have lost their collective mind. They seem to have completely forgotten their proud history of common law - which we inherited and adapted and now seem also to be in danger of losing.

It is sad - actually pathetic - what is happening in England. It is becoming a social-ist nation; very far left-wing and so PC that criminal, as illustrated by this and other cases, have more rights than crime victims. One can only hope that a few rational moderates might be able to make some headway at restoring law and order.
