Off topic....

Just got an email from an old friend, Tom Wyld, whom I met when he headed ILA public affairs, as I remember. He's found a new career in rock music (talk about career changes!) You can sample his work, and latest album "Wyld Dark Heart" here.

He asks that folks go here and cast a vote for Wyld, Dark Heart for artist of the month.

UPDATE: check the comments for more details on the band and what it's doing!

Thanks, Dave! Appreciate your support. Rest assured, we are a very Second-Amendment-friendly band!

Other places to hear our music: dubya dubya dubya dot myspace dot com slash wylddarkheart and broadjam dot com slash wylddarkheart.

We are finishing our second album which traces the life of a fictitious character from his teen days in South Philly to his death in Vietnam at the Battle of Ong Thahn 40 years ago this month. It concludes with the appearance of the main character's son in Iraq who sings a tribute to the father he never met.

Our initial goal is to send "singles" to the troops in Iraq as we can afford to generate them. The second album - a rock requiem mass - has already won endorsements by the two authors whose books covered the Vietnam engagement.

So, from "Right to Carry" to the Right to Carry On, I wish you well, my friend, and thank you again for your help!

Tom
