Teen disarms, shoots, carjacker

Posted by David Hardy · 3 July 2007 01:40 PM

Story here.

"When he leaned inside, trying to yank the mother out of the car, the 17-year-old grabbed the gun, Fortunato said. He said it went off once as they struggled, but did not hit anyone. Once the youth got the gun, he shot Chestnut several times, Fortunato said."

Update: the attacker was wanted for Murder One.

I like how the sheriff wants everyone to not fight and give the bad guy whatever he wants. No thanks Sheriff Lee, I'll take my chances on my terms.

More evidence that guns are useless, because they'll just be taken away from you and used against you.

...taken away and used against you ... rotfl.

Thanks, Brady Bunch!

Too ironic: the sheriff said for real what I was going to say sarcastically! What a great straight man! Lousy sheriff, but a great straight man. With the evidence staring him in the face that resistance is not such a bad policy at all, he lights up the old tired party line. How the "don't resist" people explain the part where all the witnesses are herded into the back room to be shot, escapes me.
