Must be a REALLY slow news day

Stop Handgun Violence has stopped making strawman buys long enough to issue a press release that reveals (gasp!) NRA doesn't endorse background checks for private sales. And they even have a list of persons and groups that have antigun positions. Those are real shockers!

I love how people ask, " “If Osama bin Laden wanted to buy a gun here in America..." and people miss a very obvious point:

1) OBL is not an American Citizen, nor a citizen of any state, so is barred by current Federal laws for purchasing a firearm.

2) OBL is a wanted criminal. Even if he WAS a US citizen, he'd fail the brady check.

3) He'd never make it out of a gun store or gun show alive.
And yes, I'll bet my life that #3 would be as good as fact.

I tell ya, it sure is a "sensible restriction" to make me have to give a background check to my own brother to sell him one of my guns.

*rolleyes*

Stop Handgun Violence was started by some unnamed successful businesspeople. George Soros comes to mind. He's a reasonably successful businessman. Their point man, Mr. Rosenthal thinks the terror watch list should be expanded to include a no buy guns category saying the rights of law abiding citizens are just an excuse. I don't want any part of the totalitarian utopia you envision for us, Mr. Rosenthal and Mr. Soros!
