MA now most violent state in New England

Posted by David Hardy · 12 April 2007 10:24 PM

Report here. The solutions proposed focus, of course, on more gun laws.

You know the funny thing is that the overview description of the ideas are things that are already on the books. I haven't gone in to look at the exact language, but there's already a database of gun owners in that there's licensing that might be issued locally but is processed by the state. They already have an idea of the "secondary market" because when you make a private sale of a gun, you have to fill out a state form and send it in.

I know the devil is in the details and if I pulled up the bill, there would probably be some new element to it. However, I'd rather go off and see the arch now... :)

"We need to be using all of our forces at every border that surrounds Massachusetts and stop this flow of guns and drugs in our communities," said Rep. Gloria Fox.

That right there tells us everything we need to know about the types of people. There's no freedom too precious they won't stomp on in order to continue to deflect blame away from their own communities for the continuing violence.

Maybe a large fence or wall would work. While you're at it, how about one between the US and Mexico, and one around California?

Would that mean stopping all the guns flowing out of Mass. from those gun manufacturers they have? That might bite if they all move, as they should have done long ago.

I don't believe you are grown-up enough for me.
