§1983 and statutes of limitations
The Supremes today ruled in Wallace v. Kato that the statute of limitations on a §1983 case, arising out of alleged false arrest, begins to run when the plaintiff is detained, not when he is acquitted.
looks like another case of supreme court failure to protect and defend the rights of the people.

Doesnt this mean people will bring a lot more ultimately meritless cases to preserve their cause of action?

We all make mistakes, just some of us make Supreme ones!
