Chicago Alderman caught with gun

Posted by David Hardy · 19 January 2007 06:40 PM

The FBI executed a search warrant on Chicago Alderman Arenda Troutman, apparently suspected of involvement with street gangs and taking bribes, and recovered a pistol and possible drugs. How about this..."Aldermen are an exception to Chicago's ban on handguns..."

It's one of those things that's so unbelievable, you just have to read it for yourself. How can anyone takes these clowns seriously? What is wrong with people in Chicago?

My favorite part tha really burns me up is:

"Adam said Troutman needed protection in the economically depressed area where she lives and serves. Her home has been broken into in the past, and the gun was registered to a private detective who left it for her, Adam said.

"She didn't go up to the North Shore to run, or to the southwest suburbs among the affluent to make things better," he said. "She's right there in the 'hood."

I bet she's the only one in The Windy City that feels that way.

Chicago is referred to as the Second City, isn't it? That means they want to be just like the First City, that being New York...

This is just another case of "do as I say, not as I do", or is it "some people are more equal than others"?

Typical.

To paraphrase an old line, protection for me, but not for thee.
