Project Bore Snake. You make a deductible donation, and they send a bore snake to troops in the field. (Why they're not already issue is beyond my understanding). Here's where to donate.

This is a fantastic idea. I assembled a "squad" weapons cleaning kit for use overseas that included boresnakes for 5.56mm, 7.62mm, and .50 caliber. They were extremely useful. These are wonderful products that can be packed into the field for expedient weapons cleaning. Kudos to whoever invented them.
