Here's the story.

"Blood in the Parks"

That was the battle cry of people against the Virginia Attorney General Opinion that said the ban on concealed carry in Virginia State parks was unlawful. The other cookie cutter responses in the recent article were the same as in 2002. Not a single person has died as a result of people being able to carry concealed in most of the Virginia State Parks. The facts speak for themselves. But the first law of nature that people have a right to bear arms speaks even louder.

What is very hypocritical is the National Park Ranger speaking out against this because Park Rangers are only allowed to carry concealed weapons in Virginia because state law allows it. Op. Va. Att'y Gen. Jan. (1986). They may be OK on Federal property, but the instant they step outside the park they are subject to Virginia law. It is a courtesy that the Commonwealth has extended to them. The Commonwealth can take that away.

Hmmmm...Extreme Mortman seems to have let his comments at the post degenerate into an off-topic fooferaw about the penetration levels of various defense rounds.

Too bad, I went there hoping to see what possible reasoned debate there might be on the anti-side, but none showed up.
